Before you even consider getting started with Applied Energistics 2, you should have the following things prepared: 1. You will learn all the basics you need to understand several concepts of the mod and how to … This means you can output to as many points as you want, but only input at a single point per tunnel. AE2 stuff and extracells also in pack. setting blocking mode on the interfaces may be helping to parallel as much as possible, even with small number but with the lag of inserting items after finishing the product. We’ll occasionally send you account related emails. Active Orders. On the right side of the GUI, under the slider, you can switch between normal crafting (like in a crafting table, the recipe result is generated) or machine processing (you have to specify both input and output). Thanks for all the ocd :), your best bet is to use same sized CPUs all over the place to have a predictable behaviour, either you get your job done in the size you wnat or not because there is no free CPU at all, i always hate it when i have to cut my orders in slices because the biggest CPUs are used up by some autocrafting stuff ... i also started to subnetwork production lines with their own dedicated crafting environment and only stockpile the intermediate products as much as possible (except those needed in big quantities). That's why Applied Energistics and Extra Cells are dependencies for this mod. Fixes #3886: Initialise sleeping import bus in pulse mode. Apologies if this is a dupe. to your account. Crafting is not done in a single tick, so machines/patterns/etc can change during a whole job. The main feature of Applied Energistics 2 is the ME Network ( pronounced Emm-Eee and stands for Matter Energy ), which is a set of connected blocks, and cables grouped into a system, where storage, power and functions cooperate between multiple components. this you'd have to explain a bit more clearly to me, i mean, when you start a production step, your algorithm needs to find all available interfaces that contain the recipe in question and feed it with items 1 Synopsis 2 Notification* 3 Starting Out 4 The Basic Network 5 Optimizations 6 Auto-crafting 7 Fluids 8 Misc 9 AE2 Add-Ons Applied Energistics 2 is a mod created by AlgorithmX2 designed to compactly store items in a digital network called Matter Energy, or ME (pronounced Emm-Eee). And regardless of round robin or not, an interface with a higher priority should always be prefered over anything else, if the attached machines are not busy. Except for the case that they are faster than the tasks are pushed, in that case it will simply start with the first one again. I made one additional one that has 16 coprocs and 10 64k's to test this and used it in following test. auto crafting with multiple patterns of same thing and co-processors. Different devices can be connected to the ME Network, such as an ME Drive, for the storage of items, or an ME … The Certus Quartz Crystal can also be ground up in the Grindstone to produce Certus Quartz Dust (as can Nether … Arrange them, touching, in a way that you find acceptable, and place the Storage Disk(s) in the ME Drive or ME Chest. !Love the video?? The ME crafting interface does use the ore dictionary so it would be nice if the MAC did too. It would be nice to have something like that tho :). Applied Energistics - Multiple Wood Types. I bet it is currently done as a search for the first available interface that contains the recipe that is then stuffed with one item and another seaerchign round starts?! The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered: Ye, you cannot have multiple recipes for one item, it just don't work like that. It does not solve the underlying issue at all, e.g. ME Encoded Pattern can be … maybe some sort of round robin fashion in distributing the single craft requests over the interfaces may be an option or maybe as a button while creating the pattern?! privacy statement. The number “Stored” indicates the number of items ... ME Crafting Terminal, or ME Terminal. I was just trying to really push it with the no-wait scenario hehe, the only other pet peeve I've ever had with ae is things across my network with a crafting card and they always somehow grab my biggest sized crafting cpu to make a group of things lol. Do note that the multiblock must be a solid cuboid of crafting storages and similar blocks- no gaps, holes, indentations, or things poking out the sides. The Extended Crafting mod adds crafting tables up to 9x9 in size. ... - Crafting terminal upgrade - will look into possibility - Wireless terminal - Done! Round robin is simply not feasible. Applied Energistics 2 is considered to be a advanced mod, but i show here that anyone with the proper knowledge can use it! Which would not even benefit AE2, but also other mods like BC robots or anything else trying to detect, if a machine is doing something. The CPU must be a cuboid, completely composed of the parts listed above; air or other blocks are not valid. Made all the patterns for making a 16384K storage component, 8 patterns, all on same tower, in separate interfaces of tower. It is used to write crafting recipes onto ME Blank Pattern 's which can then be placed into a Molecular Assembler Chamber or ME Interface to be automatically crafted on request through an ME Access Terminal. These tables can be automated with mods such as AE2 by placing an "Automation … (transition from queued to crafting in the autocrafting monitor). But for that you have to talk to lex about adding something like TileEntity#isWorking() to forge or a similar cap (maybe with some more information). ME is extremely different then other storage systems in Minecraft, and it might take a little out of the box thinking to get used to; but once you get … Welcome to the Applied Energistics 2 – Basics guide. by design prefer the faster machines, still respect priorities and so on. wouldn't it reduce overhead to search for all recipe-interfaces first and keep them in a cache list that needs proper updating when one of the interfaces/recipes goes offline and THEN only round robin over those recipes to feed em? An addon for Applied Energistics 2 that adds a wireless version of the Crafting Terminal. So we do not have to support every mod out there with a custom solution. Successfully merging a pull request may close this issue. Storage requirements are moderately complicated, and do not follow the usual ME storage math, but for a first approximation, you will need a little over one byte per input item, output item, or operation. Home. Applied Energistics is a Mod (nicknamed AE) that focuses on creating a compact, easily accessible and considerably extendible storage system called an ME Network. The "ME" stands for "Matter <-> Energy" - the premise being that items added to the system are converted into energy and stored in a digital energy form before needing to be used again, whereupon they … all assemblers are maxxed with acceleration cards and it is going pretty damn fast. ←→ Subscribe! or multiple systems I guess, storage bus'ing to making just those items and some slave systems that only make that one item, etc... AE2 itself adds Certus Quartz Crystal, and makes use of vanilla's Nether Quartz as well. (#3887) - yueh. The CPU multiblock needs to be "cuboid" (a rectangular prism), and must be created using Crafting Storage, Crafting Co-Processing Unit, and Crafting Unit blocks. ME Pattern Encoder. A core mechanic of Applied Energistics 2 is the concept of ‘cable channels’, which limit the number of devices that can be connected to a single run of ME cable.A normal ME Cable can carry up to 8 channels, and a ME Dense Cable can carry up to 32 channels.. But as you are saying, if tasks are pushed out fast enough, I can see why that was the case. but yeah, assumed this would work, can't say I ever tried this before and I'm somewhat consistent everytime I make an AE room. Energistics. DeepStoragePlus Is a mini-clone of the very popular mod Applied Energistics. P2P Tunnel or "Point to Point Tunnels" are a versatile configurable system to move items / redstone / power / and fluids from one location to another though an existing ME Network without storage.. Tunnels are 1 input to N outputs. A Network requires power, which can be provided by various blocks, and may require ME … CPU. Applied Energistics also provides several auto-crafting options, ranging from basic crafting grid operations to machine crafting integration. Fixes #3899: Put fluid interface into configured mode when needed. But the list is also sorted by priorities. crafting cpu's have 4x64k crafting storage, 4xcrafting co-procs and a crafting monitor. set to auto craft the 16meg storage component and used the crafting cpu that had 16 coproc but it never touched the three patterns in the other tower, but instead made them using the first recipe in the other tower. If set up correctly, you are able to customize your network to a large degree since there are many different blocks and machines that can be added to fit your needs. Multiple Networks - Applied Energistics. 3 Blank Patterns (Applied Energistics 2) Cables and an ME system with auto-crafting (You need a crafting CPU). (total of 16 interfaces, and 64 molecular assemblers) You can name your Crafting CPUs by naming any of the crafting units it is made up of with an Inscriber or an Anvil. And then it also has to be synchronised across all crafting CPUs and what not. I've also a Crafting Co-Processing unit. Adding Co-Processor blocks will allow the CPU to handle multiple steps in the same crafting chain at once; if you ever want to do multiple independent crafting requests at the same time, you'll need two totally separate … An addon for Applied Energistics 2 that adds a wireless version of the Crafting Terminal. Applied Energistics 2 – Storage Expansion Designs 2015-05-16 Category: Minecraft. Crafting co-processors increase the number of tasks the crafting CPU can perform at once; with no co-processors, the crafting CPU can perform a single task at a time. It is simply not worth the trouble to consider round robin at any point. I did try searching open/closed issues to see if this is a dupe but I couldn't find it. Sign in Applied Energistics is a Minecraft Mod which contains an advanced storage system called ME that lets you store items compactly and in the way you want, as well as do intricate automation. crafting cpu's have 4x64k crafting storage, 4xcrafting co-procs and a crafting monitor. Yes, even auto-crafting using ME Interfaces require this to be hooked up somewhere. Round robin and priorities simply to not work together that easily. To be a valid crafting CPU, two rules must be met: The crafting CPU as a multi-block only requires a single channel for the entire structure. Different … A better blocking mode is simply way better than anything else. Crafting … Applied Energistics is a Minecraft Mod which contains some basic tools, some electric tools, and an advanced storage, crafting, and automation system called ME that lets you store items compactly and in the way you want - with the option of extending your system to craft items on-demand and also to automate common tasks with many machines directly from the ME systems inventory. Its pronounced Emm-Eee, and stands for Matter Energy. The Crafting Status GUI. It is the new and overhauled version of the original Applied Energistics mod. It can be used as a stand alone crafting machine by inserting a Pattern via the interface, but is more efficient working in conjunction with an auto crafting multi-block structure composed of Crafting Co-Processing Unit which synchronizes the crafting orders, Crafting Storage the memory that allows multiple simultaneous crafting jobs and a Crafting Monitor to display the current crafting job. In the upper right of the crafting grid, you put the patterns. After attaching the machines, you'll notice that they're not … decided making the 1k storage components were the holdout that took the longest to make so added 3 duplicate patterns for making the 1k in the other tower not in use already. Your best option is a better blocking mode. I made one additional one that has 16 coprocs and 10 64k's to test this and used it in following test. Simply too many variables, which can break at any point. Mostly correct. will have to think about that then. By clicking “Sign up for GitHub”, you agree to our terms of service and It is composed of one or more ME Interfaces connected up with a Molecular Assembler and managed remotely via the ME Interface Terminal. It would automatically distribute it nearly perfect. [Enigmatica 2] Multiple Extended Crafting Autocrafting Recipes with Only One Table. @yueh call me idiot on this if i understand it wrong, but even with multiple interfaces and exact same recipes, the crafting will start pumping into the inputbuffer of only one machine first and then trying to use other interfaces/machines after the first one is stuffed? Already on GitHub? Allows you to return to the main interface window. The smallest possible Crafting CPU is just a 1k Crafting Storage block attached to the ME Network. To provide patterns to the autocrafting cpus you can use ME Interfaces or ME Level Emitters. Applied Energistics can also seamlessly provide integration with several mods including IndustrialCraft 2, BuildCraft, Thermal Expansion, and Logistics Pipes . You signed in with another tab or window. The main interface area shows all crafting orders active on one single crafting CPU. Or distribute it 50% to the ridiculuous slow machines and the other 50% to the fast ones, which are 10 times faster. The Crafting CPU is a multi-block; there are many optimal setups for a CPU, but a fairly reasonable setup would be a 9-block structure made up of 1 Storage unit (at least 16K) and 8 Co-processing units. As long as the patterns are exact duplicates, it will use them to distribute the crafting tasks across multiple interfaces. It doesn't craft them in parallel using every machine. → Want to see more videos like this one? But Forge is reluctant to add it. (#3903) - yueh http://bit.ly/18QuV8g ←As always, likes/favorites are much appreciated. Sign up for a free GitHub account to open an issue and contact its maintainers and the community. In a basic ME Network, one needs to supply and connect an ME Controller, an ME Drive (or ME Chest, not recommended as it's not expandable), at least one storage disk, bare minimum being ME 1k Storage, though a few ME 4k Storage disks are recommended, and finally an ME Access Terminal. ExtraCells-1.12.2-2.5.11a48. Now when sending more than 1 dust crafting request, the system keep using only 1 interface and 1 machine. So it would be some strange pattern like using the highest set first, okay i see it, but i may have an idea on how to solve it, but this would mean a bit more list in list stuff, make a dictionary of lists, where the keys are all prio levels and every key has a list of interfaces witht he same prio level sorted after RR-enabled and also EVERY KEY has an index-attribute showing to the last successfully served entry in it's list (needs to be adjusted accordingly to attached and removed interfaces/recipes), so for every item to push i decend from high to low prio, trying to access the RR enabled interfaces first by accessing the "last successfully served" and checking if it is RR-enabled and returning to the top of the list if not (either no RR-enabled present on this prio or all busy), if the interface IS RR-enabled, i check if the next one is RR-enabled and try to push if it is enabled or return to the top of the list and try to push there (we reached the end of our RR list, begin from top), if i don't find ANY RR-enabled that i can push into, i try the next RR-disabled until i find none of them either and drop to a lower priority, or you could simply ignore priority if there is two or more duplicate patterns for one recipe of requested item, and then apply RR, well yeah generally you are right ... no need for another level ...
